+Meet Amanda, Founder & Creative Director
I am a Radiation Therapist, blogger and Floral Designer. I’m currently a radiation therapist in Boston, MA. My passion for creating and cooking (mostly eating) took full force after graduation and I decided to create my own blog, the Ninety-Two Pearl. I have always had a passion for all things yummy and all things pretty. I grew up watching my grandparents’ love for flowers and planting. Throughout college and in the beginning of my career as a radiation therapist, I would always help family and friends create and decorate their own events. I thought I really had a knack for this. Between my blog and my full time job, I somehow found the time to start taking floral design class in Boston, MA and I don’t regret it for a second. I fell in love with the art of floral design. Plus, it was a huge escape for me when I got home from work. While taking a break on my blog, I decided to start 92 Events & Floral Design in 2016. It means a lot that you are here checking out the site, I hope you love it!
I am a pretty lucky lady. I had the chance to go to Suffolk University, graduate and land my dream job at a major hospital in the city. I work 4 days a week so I have an extra day to cook, craft and let the creative side of my brain go crazy.
As a radiation therapist, you meet some incredible patients. Some days can be really hard; my patients are usually going through the most difficult time in there lives. My goal is to make their day a bit easier than their last and hopefully they can leave with a smile on their face. Little did I know, that my patients would become a huge inspiration for starting my business. Although they could be angry or sad at their situation, often times I hear them say “it could be worse.” My job and my patients’ positivity have always reminded me that life is too short to not follow your dreams.
I am beyond thankful for everyone in my life. With the help and encouragement of my friends at work, family and my amazing boyfriend, I was able to start pursuing goals that I never thought would be achievable. It’s just the beginning of my journey but I hope you stick around to see where it goes!
